Willem (Sean) van der Vlies

Born and raised as the son of a captain, Willem (Sean) grew up in the center of Rotterdam (the Netherlands), which was bombed by the German Luftwaffe. After high school, he joined the military service, serving in special units in two armies in several countries. 

Back in the Netherlands, he started a career in building glass and construction. In addition to his work, he obtained his engineering degrees. He had various management board positions at large construction companies before he became an entrepreneur, setting up his own companies, which he managed and owned for 22 years. In addition to his business, he organizes and sponsors several military memorial events in the Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge) and the Netherlands and supports soldiers and war veterans.
