Quick answer: How can I sponsor a wreath through Heroes' Path this December?
National Wreaths Across America Day is Saturday, December 19, 2026. Sponsoring a $17 wreath through the Heroes' Path Foundation page places a live balsam wreath on a veteran's headstone at the cemetery you choose, and $5 of each sponsorship comes back to fund the foundation's leadership and legacy programs for young people.
Heroes' Path spent last December's Wreaths Across America Day at Arlington National Cemetery, placing wreaths at the graves of good friends and friends of friends and saying each name aloud. This year Heroes' Path Foundation is again an official Wreaths Across America sponsorship group for National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 19, 2026. Each wreath costs $17, and when it is sponsored through the foundation's page, $5 comes back to support the leadership and legacy programs Heroes' Path runs with young people the rest of the year, built on the stories of people who served. Sponsors choose the cemetery at checkout. Arlington is the default, and the foundation also supports South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, close to many of its Florida friends. Wreaths can also go to Annapolis National Cemetery on West Street, which holds about 3,200 veterans, many of them Union soldiers who died at Camp Parole and in the town's Army hospitals during the Civil War. To send one there, click "Search All Locations" at checkout and pick Annapolis National Cemetery. It still counts for Heroes' Path as long as you start from the foundation's page. The goal this year is 1,000 wreaths placed nationwide, and sponsorships are open now at https://www.heroespathfoundation.org/wreaths.
Why it matters for leaders: Remembrance depends on people who show up and do it. A $17 wreath puts a veteran's name in someone's mouth at the graveside, and it also pays for programs that pass these stories on to young people.
